***Update***Some Well Loved Canon Equipment Looking for a New Home – FOR SALE

As time marches on some equipment gets upgraded, and some sits unused as my needs have changed.  I have a few things that have been sitting here for long enough and I’m hoping to send them all to good homes quickly!

All prices include UPS ground shipping.  Tax will be billed at 8.975% for California residents.  I will take credit cards over the phone or a cashiers check.  If paying by check, equipment will not ship until check has been verified and cleared.  Cash will be accepted for local transactions.

Call me at 559-681-7567 or email me through the website contact link above.

And all that’s left is the Canon – the 16-35L f2.8 – $950 $850 (plus tax for California residents). Makes a great medium zoom on a cropped sensor camera, or a superwide zoom on a full frame camera.  It also has a very large maximum aperture which makes it ideal for shooting in darker environments without the need for flash or other supplemental light.  The large aperture also aids in creating a shallow depth of field, throwing your backgrounds out of focus and helping the subject pop out of the frame.  Aside from some minor cosmetic scuffs and such, the lens is in great shape – clear and clean glass. Includes the lens, both caps, and lens hood.

First up a Canon 1Ds Mark II in excellent working condition – $1950 SOLD (plus tax for California residents). There are some cosmetic dings and points of wear that come from it being used for a couple seasons, but it is operationally perfect.  The “1″ Series Canon’s are built like tanks and this one is certainly not even close to half way through it’s life expectancy.  It has served me very well!

It has a 16.7 Megapixel Full Frame Sensor, very good high-ISO noise performance (topped only be the best of the best current models), professional level AF system, weather sealed body.  Included is everything seen in this image (body, body cap, charger, 2 batteries, owners manual, and extra eyecup):

Next we have a huge zoom from Canon – the 100-400L IS f4.5-5.6 – SOLD (plus tax for California residents). Originally bought to get in close at weddings, I found it doesn’t work all that well in those dark churches.  If you are looking for something excellent to shoot those outdoor sporting events, a little wildlife, or even a trip to the zoo, this lens is a great buy!  It even has Canon’s Image Stabilization helping you reduce blur from camera shake without needing a tripod.  Glass is clean and unmarked, lens has seen very limited use.  Includes the lens, lens hood, both caps, tripod collar, and carrying case.

Finally, another long zoom from Canon – the 70-300 DO IS f4.5-5.6 – SOLD (plus tax for California residents). This is an excellent quality long telephoto zoom using some of the newest lens technology from Canon.  The ‘DO’ optics are exceptionally sharp and allow for a very compact design in spite of the extreme reach of the 300mm long end of the zoom range.  This lens also incorporates Canon’s Image Stabilization (IS) technology to reduce the need for a tripod in combating the camera shake which can be common in a zoom of this range.  This lens has also seen limited use – mostly as a ‘vacation’ lens for me.  Unfortunately for me, I haven’t taken many vacations, so you get the benefit of a great lens at a great price!

The lens is in outstanding shape with clean glass and very limited cosmetic marking (marks only on the lens hood).  Includes the lens, both caps, and the lens hood.

Rosa and Mark – Engagement Session from Chowchilla, CA.

For Rosa and Mark’s engagement session, we met up just outside Chowchilla and made use of the rural country side.  We shot in orchards, used the palms lining Robertson Blvd., found a cool green field, and then this great young orchard overgrown with wildflowers.  This was also the first couple of mine to bust out the cowboy hats – yeeehaw! Aside from Mark (not me, the other guy!) getting stung by a bee, it was a sweet session!

Here’s a small selection of my favorites:

Katie and John – An Urban Engagement Session from Downtown Fresno

Getting back into the swing of things with new year and shooting the first engagement session of the season.  I’m doing the photography for Katie and John’s wedding in late February so we got out and got their engagement session done just in time.  Found a few new locations that I haven’t used before and had a great time on a gray morning, but we got lucky right at the end as the sun finally broke through for the finish.

Here’s a few of my favorites…

Samantha and Nicholas – Wedding Photography from the Golden Palace in Fresno, CA

Samantha and Nick were married at the Golden Palace on what turned out to be a beautiful day landing right in the middle of all these storms.  The Golden Palace was decked out spectacularly – especially the room they created for the ceremony with great light and draping.  You’ll notice a little different look to some of my work as well.  Since the ceremony started right before sunset and because of Samantha and Nick’s desire to not see each other before the wedding, a lot of the photography took place after dark.  A little added light and help from my assistant Adam got things going – a fun twist to start the wedding season!

On a side note, this wedding was another in a long line of friends and family of one of the first couples I booked in my career – so I got to see a ton of familiar faces at this one!

Anyway, here are a few of my favorites, led of as always by a highlight slideshow…Music is “Lovely Tonight” by Joshua Radin
