Katie and John’s wedding from Copper River Country Club

Katie and John have got to be the luckiest two people on earth!  On a day when rain was certain, they had an outdoor ceremony and the rain held off until about 20 minutes after the ceremony ended – just perfect to get a portrait session in.  Thankfully, we had a gorgeous day through the afternoon and the clouds just started to roll in as the ceremony began.  After it finished raining during the reception we went back out for some cool night-time portraits to finish off the night.

Congrats Katie and John!  Here are a few of my favorites…

The Spring Portrait Event is extended to a second date!

Due to popular demand, we are extending the Sprint Portrait Event to a second date!  This will be your last chance for scenery like this.  By early April the flowers and grasses will have died and turned brown – don’t miss your chance, call today!

Mid-March is the peak of the wildflower bloom in the hills around Fresno, and we are going to take advantage of this beautiful scene by holding a final Spring Portrait Event at Millerton Lake on Saturday, March 20 2010! The fee to reserve your mini-session is only $50 – well below our regular session rate!

To get in on the action, just pay your session fee by clicking here, scroll down and click on the “Portrait Event” button. Enter your credit card details and the requested information, and I will be in touch with the particulars by email.

The sessions in the fall quickly sold out, so don’t delay getting in touch with the studio to reserve your spot! You must be available for a session between 9am and 5pm. Exact times will be scheduled and communicated by email Friday morning the day before the session, or earlier if all postions are full. Directions to the session location will also be sent at that time. The location will be on the Madera side of Millerton Lake, about a 30 minute drive from Fresno.

SPRING IS HERE! First 2 Portrait Events of the Year are on!

First up is the Urban Portrait Event on Sunday, February 21st with the first session starting at 12:30.  We’ll only have room for about 5 families so sign up quick and reserve your spot!  To sign up, click here or click the “Booking Information” link in the menu above.  Select and pay for the Portrait Event Mini-Session Fee and we’ll be in touch with further details.

Next we have the 2nd Annual Spring Portrait Event.  This event will take place on the Madera side of Millerton Lake on Saturday, February 27 starting at around 9am.  The site is about a 30 minute drive from central Fresno and there will be a $10 entrance fee to the park.  This area is beautiful with wildflower blooms, lush green grasses, rolling hills and majestic oak trees.  We will only have room for about 10 families so don’t delay signing up.  If past events are any indication, those spots will go very quickly!  To sign up, click here or click the “Booking Information” link in the menu above.  Select and pay for the Portrait Event Mini-Session Fee and we’ll be in touch with further details.

Rosa and Mark – Engagement Session from Chowchilla, CA.

For Rosa and Mark’s engagement session, we met up just outside Chowchilla and made use of the rural country side.  We shot in orchards, used the palms lining Robertson Blvd., found a cool green field, and then this great young orchard overgrown with wildflowers.  This was also the first couple of mine to bust out the cowboy hats – yeeehaw! Aside from Mark (not me, the other guy!) getting stung by a bee, it was a sweet session!

Here’s a small selection of my favorites:
