Grace and Chris | Destination Engagement Session | Paso, SLO, and Avila Beach

Grace and Chris asked to shoot at the wineries in Paso Robles and, since Chris is a Cal Poly SLO grad, a little in downtown San Luis Obispo. So that’s what we did, and since you can’t drive all the way to San Luis Obispo from Fresno and NOT go to the beach, we did that as well just for good measure. I know I had a blast, and Grace and Chris both agreed at the end of the session that it was actually fun and not nearly the painful, agonizing experience they thought having their pictures taken was going to be.

Sally and Tim | Destination Engagement Session | Carmel, CA

I met Sally and Tim in Carmel for their engagement session at a small coastal nature preserve near Carmel, CA. We were blessed with some uniquely interesting skies that lent a very different vibe to a location that I have visited many times. Nothing better than hanging by the ocean with a great couple for an afternoon – even if they are Dodger fans!

Jennifer and Matt – Engagement Session from Monterey, CA

Jennifer and Matt are both avid golfers and former members of the Fresno State golf team. So, when it came time to plan their engagement session, a visit to Pebble Beach was a must. On the way we stopped at Cannery Row in Monterey and then hit numerous locations along the beautiful 17 Mile Drive – finishing at sunset at Pebble beach.

Brianne and Andrew – A San Francisco Engagement Session

For Brianne and Andrew’s session we headed north to San Francisco. We started at Muir Woods and then stopped off in the Marin Headlands on the way to Baker Beach. I’m shooting Brianne and Andrew’s wedding later this year and I’m really looking forward to it. They’re getting married at the Carmel Mission – a venue I have dreamed of photographing in for several years!

Julie and Burton – Engagement Session from Monterey, CA

Kim + Jason – A wedding from San Marcos, some pictures on the beach, and a reception under the stars

Jason’s from Fresno, Kim’s from San Marcos and they met at Fresno Pacific University. Jason is an avid photographer who has started his own business with his brother within the last year, and I’m honored that they choose me to be their wedding photographer. We started out in San Marcos getting ready and for Kim and Jason’s first look, then headed out to the beach in Carlsbad for some pictures on the beach. After the session, we made our way back to the church for a beautiful wedding on the lawn outside followed by a reception with what has to be the best tri-tip I have ever had. On top of the great food and fun, we were treated to a remake of the song that Jason wrote to propose to Kim. Way to go Jason, that song was outstanding and I don’t think there was a dry eye in attendance after the performance. A energetic exit through fiery sparklers finished off the evening in spectacular fashion. Below are a few of my favorite images from the day, led off by a slideshow. The music is “All of my Days” by Alexi Murdoch.

Kristine and Bryan – Pismo Beach and Avila Beach Engagement Session

Bryan proposed to Kristine on Pismo Beach so it was a no-brainer to go back when picking a location for their engagement session. We started out on Pismo Beach, but the weather was a little on the gloomy side so we headed over to sunny Avila Beach to finish up. Here’s a few of my favorites…Enjoy!

Rema + Kevin – A Destination Engagement Session from Paso Robles and Avila Beach

For this session we started at the Villa Toscana in Paso Robles. It’s a very beautiful, tuscan style bed and breakfast just outside Paso Robles. We only had a few minutes there before heading off to the Robert Hall Winery on the way to Avila Beach. Robert Hall has some gorgeous huge oaks on the property that I love working with. Once we got to Avila Beach, the light was absolutely sublime. Combine that great light with the energy and life of Rema and Kevin and we made a little magic. Definitely one of my favorite sessions so far this year! Take a look at a few of my favs…
