Funny story, when Lexington and Jared started looking for a wedding venue, Lexington's mom (or someone in the family) said "Why don't we just make a venue??" and so they bought a farm! It was a very, very cool spot and I hope it comes about to be a full wedding venue in Fresno because it has sooooo much going for it! Cristina and Roger | Mountain Engagement Session | Shaver Lake, CA

When Cristina got in touch with me, I was super stoked. I photographed her brother's wedding a few years ago, and a few other relatives and friends in between and excited to get back to Chowchilla and see everyone again. In the spirit of beating the heat, we headed up towards Shaver Lake to a little grove of Giant Sequoias followed by some time in the meadows along the road. Hands down, Paradise Springs is my favorite venue in the Central Valley. High enough to get above the heat, tons of space for guests to make a weekend out of a wedding, and surrounded by an amazing forest with a huge selection of different locations for a ceremony. Not to mention, it's only a few minutes outside the south gate of Yosemite National Park which makes it a fantastic base camp for adventures in the park. Hilary and Kevin | Yosemite Engagement Session | Yosemite National Park

I will never grow tired of living just down the hill from the amazing Yosemite National Park. Somehow I hit the jackpot when my parents decided to pack us all up and move from Oklahoma to Fresno when I was only 7 years old. Yosemite in the winter, or the off-est of off-seasons is another level of magical. For Hilary and Kevin's session we bailed on all the Super Bowl festivities and headed to the park and were greeted by a beautifully empty valley. Hailey and Greg | Panoche Creek Wedding | Fresno, CA

I may be a little late to the party, but after photographing my first two weddings at Panoche Creek this year, it's quickly becoming one of my favorite venues in the Fresno area. The grounds are just amazing with massive, old trees, established orchards, and as I discovered at this wedding after the river waters receded, a beautiful meadow. To top it off I got to spend this day with the extraordinarily friendly and kind Hailey and Greg and their friends and family. Even though their bridal party was quite large, it was obvious that each and every person chosen had a close, personal, and unique relationship with them. Emily and Gary | Sunnyside Events Wedding | Fresno, CA

I probably sound like a broken record, but working with expressive people is SO MUCH FUN! No shade towards Gary - who's a totally awesome dude - but Emily has an outsized personality that literally blows up any room she walks in to. Actually, everyone was a character at this wedding including Gary and Emily's little boys. So many great personalities all the way around, but I think the pictures are going to show you that. Erin and Erick | Moravia Winery Wedding | Fresno, CA

After photographing over 350 weddings since 2005, one of the things I'm most proud of is how often I'm hired by family and friends of past clients. This wedding was a perfect example after photographing Erick's brother's wedding a couple years ago (eventually I'll get to posting that one too!). It's so much fun to hang with familiar people and extend the stories started in past years. I love that Erin and Erick are both unabashed Star Wars fans and let all that come through in their wedding - from Han and Leia figures on the cake, Erick's Millennium Falcon cuff links, and the Rebel Alliance cuff links for the groomsmen. Whitney and Connor | Moravia Wines Wedding | Fresno, CA

A couple weeks ago, for the first time, I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding at Moravia Wines. I've had, *ahem* plenty, of opportunities to spend some quality wine drinking and hanging out time at the winery, so I was excited for this one! To top things off, I got to reconnect with a family that I hadn't seen in several years. I photographed Connor's brother's wedding 9 years ago when I was still getting started at this career.
