Erika and Craig are one of those couples that are just a joy to photograph. Erika is a complete ham and just seems to be having an amazing time ALL the time and Craig is just this laid back guy totally happy to be along for the ride. It was a nice warm day that wasn’t nearly as hot as it was supposed to be, with some great light just in time for the couple’s portraits, and we just made it in time for a really cool portrait at dusk just before we lost all the color in the sky. And then there was the dance floor…I can’t really put that into words, you’ll have to look at the pictures. Enjoy!

Erika and Craig | Engagement Session | Madera, CA

We had a blast shooting Erika and Craig’s engagement session, starting off playing with their dogs at their house before heading out to stop at the historic courthouse in Madera and then on a little wandering road trip out of town. We hit the jackpot about 5 minutes out of town, finding 3 old barns just off the side of the road. Check out a few of my favorites from the session…

SPRING IS HERE! First 2 Portrait Events of the Year are on!

First up is the Urban Portrait Event on Sunday, February 21st with the first session starting at 12:30. We’ll only have room for about 5 families so sign up quick and reserve your spot! Next we have the 2nd Annual Spring Portrait Event. This event will take place on the Madera side of Millerton Lake on Saturday, February 27 starting at around 9am. The site is about a 30 minute drive from central Fresno and there will be a $10 entrance fee to the park. This area is beautiful with wildflower blooms, lush green grasses, rolling hills and majestic oak trees. We will only have room for about 10 families so don’t delay signing up. Imani + Joshua – A Wedding from the Birdstone Winery of Madera

Imani and Josh were married on the lawn at the Birdstone Winery in Madera, CA. This was my first time at this location, and I thought it was great outdoor venue for a wedding. Imani left no detail overlooked, with the grounds decorated by dozens (or hundreds) rhinestone decorated silk butterflies. The wedding was so full of color, it was unlike anything I have ever seen at wedding – I loved it.

Kirsten and Mike were married at St Joachims in Madera, CA with their reception following at Kirsten’s parent’s ranch. The gorgeous reception was designed by Dawn Moore of The Divine Event with wine tasting courtesy of Moody Press Cellars – one of Madera’s own local wineries.
