The recurring theme this fall has been a forecast all week calling for rain on the wedding day, only to break apart and deliver some of the most gorgeous possible weather imaginable. While it can be quite cool this time of year – especially in the evening – there is nothing like the Fall light in California. Passing storms and clouds only serve to make it more perfect. Kim and Aaron’s wedding took place on one of those amazing days! I had so many favorites from this wedding it was nearly impossible to narrow it down. I do hope you enjoy this selection…

Grace and Chris | Destination Engagement Session | Paso, SLO, and Avila Beach

Grace and Chris asked to shoot at the wineries in Paso Robles and, since Chris is a Cal Poly SLO grad, a little in downtown San Luis Obispo. So that’s what we did, and since you can’t drive all the way to San Luis Obispo from Fresno and NOT go to the beach, we did that as well just for good measure. I know I had a blast, and Grace and Chris both agreed at the end of the session that it was actually fun and not nearly the painful, agonizing experience they thought having their pictures taken was going to be. ;)

Stephanie + Alex – Engagement Session from the Paso Robles Wine Country and Avila Beach

Woohooo! Off to wine country again for Stephanie and Alex’s engagement session followed by a little session at the beach as the sun set. Aside from the extreme wind that is common at the beach, and the very unkind, and unruly, seagull that made a “mess” of things towards the end (don’t worry – that’s NOT common), we had a fabulous time and made some really cool images.
